Ditch Clearance in Essex

A ditch or trench is more commonly seen around farmland to drain water alongside roads or fields, or used for plant irrigation. All ditches should be regularly inspected to ensure the flow of water is allowed without obstruction, and cleared of any debris, litter, land slip or silt, to ensure free passage of fish.

The beds and banks should also be inspected and maintained, including the trees and shrubs.
